Reading is so much a part of daily life for those of us who live in literate communities. In my early days, my parents always encourage me to read books. I still remember the books that I always read. It was kids encyclopedia. What interesting about the book is it have a lot of pictures which attract me and most children. Reading does not always have to be from books. In my everyday life, I read newspapers, advertisements and even pictures. In my childhood experience, most of my reading is for pleasure (creativity and imagination).
However, I want to admit that I am not a good reader. That is why I read for pleasure is done for it's own sake. I would rather chew off my own leg than confess to enjoying reading. In school, we are required for examinations. Educational pratices tend to neglect the pleasure principal. nevertheless, my favourite reading materials during primary school is 'dictionary'. I enjoyed reading it.
Most of my reading exposure is because of my parents. They often read to me. They do not skip my regular reading time. They always read and reread stories requested by me. The most important part is they always encourage me to make predictions and I will tell what I think will happen next. As a child I always enjoy the illustrations. And the funny part is when they are being patient while I am reading aloud. Besides that, I will think of a new ending to the story. I used to read children's magazines. Apart from that, my parents always bring me and my brothers to check out the public library. At my home, we have our own library where my father create a special place for us to read books in our home. Furthermore, my mother will keep a few "old favorite" books in the car to enjoy.
In short, the way we perceive reading behaviouris linked to different reader purpose, for example what kind of reading behaviour is expected in classrooms or families. our day-to-day reading is highly selective. And even when we commit ourselves to a full reading, that reading will still be selctive, some parts being read with greater care than others.

High Fidelity
1. What is the movie about?
High Fidelity is about the 'mid-life' crisis of Rob (John Cusack), a record-store owner. Rob (Cusack) is a guy who's got it pretty good. He owns a record store and practices the fine art of musical snobbery with his two employees, Barry (Black) and Dick (Louiso). He also got a girlfriend, Laura (Hjejle), and everything seems to be going well, until she leaves him. In the wake of Laura's departure, he proceeds to relate his Top Five all-time breakups, and wants to confront those portions of his past to see if he and Laura have a future.
2. How is the story different from other common fiction?
The story is different from other common fiction because it is not a common stereotype love story in a movie. It reveals to us that not all relationship goes on well. High fidelity is a romantic comedy which provides a whimsical glimpse into the male view of the affairs of the heart. Rob's journey of self-discovery brings us an entertaining insight of failed relationships.
3. Who's your favorite character? Why?
My favourite character would be Rob. This is Cusack's best role to date, and he makes the most of it, particularly in his riffs on romantic humiliation. Meanwhile his sidekicks Black and Louiso argue pop music with a lunatic passion that will have any fan roaring.Rob spends a lot of time obsessing about his relationships and wondering why he is so unsuccessful in this area. It's kind of sweet the way he describes his own apparent inability.

I Have Problems....
Assalamualaikum....
Hello my fellas, today I would like to share with all of you the problems I often face in writing a composition. I never told this to anyone, so this is an exclusive revelation ok.. Mr. Jaferi has come out with a great idea to ask me to write on that topic. It gives me an opportunity to really address the difficulties that occur to me when writing something. I admit that I am not a good writer ( I really mean it). Seriously, I am very worried when it comes to creating a writing piece. Anyway, for those who have comments and suggestions to help me, please do come forward ok.
Firstly, I do not have the flow of idea. In other words, I often experience mind block. This is really important because I realize that it always interferes my 'masterpiece'. Due to this problem, I have to catch up with time in order to finish my writing especially during examination. It makes me feel very unconfident, and I keep rushing my thoughts in order to complete a written work. When this happens, my points become disorganized. Furthermore, I do not have the ability to produce a quality writing. This is an obstacle because it is hard for me to impress my lecturers, and hard for me to discuss an idea well and elaborate. Honestly, this kind of problems really affect my grades.
Secondly, my worst nightmare is poem/literature. I never like this elements of writing. I honestly am amazed with the beautiful words and language in the poems I read but I can't hardly understand it especially the classic one. I am not a creative person so poems/literatures are not my competency. I know that reading can improve my writings but I still think that reading alone cannot help me either. I should create the feeling of like to poetry I guess. But, that seems very hard. For me, it's hard to understand the meaning each poem brings. I admit that some poems have straight forward language, which makes it evidently easy to understand. But, there are certain poems I learn that even after reading it many times, I just could not grasp the meaning that the poem intends to deliver. Should I be a more critical reader in order to understand them?
Lastly, I feel that my English proficiency is really poor. And i think that this fact is the largest contributing factor to all my problems when writing compositions. I would rather kill myself when it comes to submission of assignments. This is because my lack of confidence. But when Mr. Jaferi asked me to create a blog, I found it very interesting. He said that we should not worry about the grammar part, but focus on the idea instead. Truthfully, I really like the idea because it helps me to improvise my flow of idea in writings. Furthermore, it overcomes my problems in lack of confidence. I really enjoy writing blogs eventhough what I had wrote are all craps.
